The Computable Medical Knowledge Resources(CMKR)

The works of CMKR include collecting the computer readable or understandable formalized knowledge resource
(on hypertension, hyperlipoidema, diabetes, etc at beginning), investigating the diverse knowledge
representation patterns, developing the computational methods or algorithms and the relevant programs and
interfaces. The purpose of the project is to support data mining, decision making, significant or faulty or
risk data pattern discovering, text mining, etc from EHR or EMR, and to assist the bio-medical literature
engineering, as well.

The background logic of CMKR

The fundamental propositions of this logic are:
(1) A HIS or EHR without the domain knowledge support would be "a kind of layman" in medical practices.
(2) A Information System would be "a kind of illiteracy" facing to the knowledge which is presented in free text.
(3) The HISs or EHRs are growing continually and rapidly, remaining "a kind of hot spot" for investment.
(4) A HIS or EHR would be "a kind of patient with malnutrition", if we would not feed them formatted domain knowledge.
(5) Biomedical knowledge engineering can't be based on logic morphology such as RDF or OWL only, but on realistic biomedical
knowledge morphology also.

Knowledge collection, formalized representations, methodology, theory and applications

(1)The knowledge collections are focused on hypertension, and then hyperlipoidema, diabetes, etc at the primary stage;
(2)Identify and establish the set of common knowledge expression forms(CKEFs), which involve the respects of basic
processable semantic relationships(BPSRs) or predications (physical or conceptual), variables and their hosts and
accompanying components(ACs), the numerical or literal values of the variables, etc;
(3)Edit and develop the formalized knowledge or CMKR base;
(4)To research and develop the algorithms, operating frameworks in common senses, their interfaces or applications for
BPSRs, variables and their hosts, ACs, and values, etc;
(5)To research and develop the applications or interfaces for exchange between CKEF formatted and RDF/OWL formatted
knowledge;
(6) To research and develop the applications or interfaces for interactions of CMKR to medical practices in diverse
particular purposes;
(7)The researches on the cognitive segment (CS) and the methodology for discovering risk patterns from EHR or EMR;
(8)The relevant basic theoretic researches including Medical Cognition Informatics (MCI), Organism Informatics (OI)
and the Theory of BioMedical Knowledge Integration(BMKI).
